Other 3D Model WIPs

The following are projects that are in various stages of development. Most of them are fan art pieces. I will update this page as the status of each project changes.

Bill & Ted’s Phone Booth (WIP)

With the release of the third Bill & Ted movie, I wanted to model the phone booth they use to travel through time on their most triumphant adventures.

I basically only used a couple of movie stills as reference and eyeballed the rest.

Plan for update:

  • Redo the materials/textures
  • Model a couple of minor details
  • Figure out how to animate the lightning effect when the booth slips into the time stream.

Sith Fury Ship (from Star Wars the Old Republic MMO)

This is a ship based on a design from the MMO game Star Wars the Old Republic. I took screenshots from the game and used them as reference.

Plan for updates:

  • Clean up geometry where needed
  • Model some detail inside the ship where the landing ramp opens.
  • Review UVs and update materials/textures

Another Star Wars Ship (WIP)

Model in progress. This is a ship that appeared in an old Star Wars video game, so there aren’t many reference images of it. This began as an exercise in just modeling something with a lot of detail. Using the Millennium Falcon as reference for many of the details.

Plan for update:

  • Continue and complete the modeling
  • Create materials/textures
  • Create rig for movable components like the laser turret and landing gear.

Unnamed Space Pod Thing

This is a model that has been collecting dust on my hard drive. It is a concept design that I sketched out and made up as I went along. It will probably turn out to be a utility vehicle of some sort.

Plan for update:

  • Tweak design and complete modeling
  • Create materials/textures
  • Create rig for movable components
