So I have been neck deep in a freelance project the last few days. I have been tasked with creating a course to teach 3D animation and Blender software to summer camp students. Coming off a bout of sick that left me drained made it tough to keep up on classwork and trying to get everything in order to submit a draft of the project by this Sunday. Let me tell you, I am in a daze.
The project was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up. I accepted the project a month ago and was full aware that my time would be stretched, but I look at it as a learning experience. I learned how to better organize materials and got a few ideas about how to tackle a project like this from the get go. It can be an effective way to learn how to increase the efficiency of your workflow–by being challenged and figuring out the best way to move forward.
It can be invigorating and inspiring as obstacles are overcome and challenges met with success. Conan said it best: “Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.” Well, maybe not the lamentations thing, that’s just depressing. Maybe I shouldn’t get my motivations from a barbarian.
